San Diego Breast Implants

Breast implants are usually opted for to improve the breast size and structure. Before going for the treatment, one has to decide which implants to use. There are saline implant and silicone implant. Also along with this, the size and shape of the implants have to be decided as to whether she wants a round or anatomical breast implants. Anatomical breast implants show a slope of natural breast. The round breast implants take the same shape.

Round implants: Round implants, placed under the muscle may have a more natural appearance than shaped/contour implants which can appear somewhat elongated in appearance in some women. Shaped implants tend to remain stationary, so they stay in the same place. When a woman lies down, round implants on the other hand, settle back evenly, like normal breasts. When a woman stands up, the saline goes to the bottom of the implants because of gravity, and the implants assume a natural teardrop shape.

Shaped, Anatomical, Tear-Drop: Unlike a round implant, a "shaped" implant by design has a top and a bottom which is tear drop shaped. Unlike round implants, a tear-drop implant will maintain the same shape lying down, which can appear unnatural in some women.

In the types of breast implants, salt-water solution which is known as saline, is best adviced as it is believed to be safer compared to silicone gel because If a saline-filled implant breaks, the implant will deflate in a few hours and the salt water will be harmlessly absorbed by the body. If a break occurs in a gel-filled implant, however, one of two things may occur. If the shell breaks but the scar capsule around the implant does not, you may not detect any change. If the scar also breaks or tears, silicone gel may move into surrounding tissue. The gel may collect in the breast and cause a new scar to form around it, or it may migrate to another area of the body. There may be a change in the shape or firmness of the breast.
